Modified Social Benches

These are Modified Social Benches by artist Jeppe Hein, which are located throughout the city of De Haan in Belgium, for the contemporary art event Beaufort04. The bench designs borrow their basic form from normal park benches, but are altered in various degrees to make the act of sitting on them a conscious physical endeavour.

Cool Bedrooms Designs

Take a look at some very cool bedroom designs. These are basically some teenagers bedrooms. Would they be interior designers in the future?

Cool Water Parks

With the mercury rising well above comfortable levels, finding ways to cool off in the summer inevitably becomes one of the top priorities for most people. Unfortunately jumping into the River is not an option, even if it is the main water source intersecting the city. However, the good news is that there are a number of water parks in and around the city that offer fun amenities for the whole family- and of course lots of water for that essential cool off.

15 Incredible Libraries Around the World

These pillars of higher learning are also home to some of the world's most incredible architecture. Below is a small collection of stunning libraries around the globe. From the historical to the modern, these centers of knowledge and learning also preserve the history and culture of their respective periods. Personally, would find it hard to concentrate in some of these places, they are too beautiful for the eye not to wander.

First Super Bus in Dubai

Superbus is a new concept for sustainable mobility, which consists of a new vehicle, new type of dedicated infrastructure and new logistics. For this new concept, all of the intelligence and innovation is put into the vehicle, whereas the dedicated infrastructure, where the Superbus runs at 250 km/h, is made of relatively cheap concrete roads.

Beautiful Bridges in the World

We’ve come a long way in bridge building since crossing a river on a fallen log. The first bridges were built with wooden planks, ropes and stones. Soon, stronger material were required. Wood and stone bridges gave way to iron, then to steel ones. Bridge building techniques also evolved: beam, cantilevered, cable-stayed, and suspension bridges – each with advantages that made it the right choice for a particular location.

Political fortunes and wars have been made or lost by bridges. Throughout history, bridges had been built by engineers and burned by warriors, and crossed by kings and commoners alike. Millions of people owe their livelihood to bridges, as most require them to commute; and yet thousands of people choose to end their lives by jumping off them every year.

Bridges are stylish: from classical to modern, they are as much a work of art as they are marvels of engineering. To celebrate the wonders of "classic wooden" bridges, here is a collection.

Cool but WEIRD Tattoos

For some strange and unfamiliar reason people keep trying to make themselves look weird, strange and unnatural. Tattoos take up first place on the list of strange stuff that humans do to their body in order to look different and be unique!

Weird Shoes

We need shoes to do pretty much anything outdoors, but the fashion industry has turned them from a necessary, functional item of clothing into a work of… Something entirely different. Some may call it art, but some of these crazy creations are just plain silly. If they can’t be worn, at least they’re fun to look at.
