Paradise Island is a famous island in the Bahamas. It is located just
off the shore of the city of Nassau. The island is best known for the
sprawling ‘Vegas-by-the-sea resort’ called Atlantis.
Paradise Island is connected to the island of New Providence by two bridges that cross Nassau Harbour. The first was built in 1966 by Resorts International, and the second in the late 1990s.

At the western tip of the island is the Hog Island Lighthouse which
was constructed in 1817 and still standing. It was so name because
Paradise Island was formerly known as Hog Island.
